The Taj Hotel Group branded the St James Court Hotel in Buckingham Gate, London, as a Taj Hotel after 15 years operating the hotel in a previous contractual arrangement as a Crowne Plaza property.

 

Rebranding the hotel as part of the Taj luxury hotels portfolio required the hotel to be upgraded and refurbished in specific areas to truly meet and reflect the 5 star luxury standards and expectations of Taj.

 

The project -carried out by Founding Partner David Ledger's Box Associates company, (an Associate of Arc's), consisted of the refurbishment and upgrading of 235 guest rooms and 80 serviced apartments along with a dedicated lobby/lounge and reception for the apartments, the main guest lobby, public circulation areas, new lifts and lift replacement, bars and restaurant.

 

The work was undertaken in a series of five phases whilst the hotel remained fully operational throughout the upgrading and refurbishment process.
