Background:  An experienced owners representative having worked on a wide range of market appraisals throughout the accommodation sector at an individual site and portfolio level within pubs, hotels and other forms of accommodation. Douglas' broad experience covers research, site appraisals, planning support and asset management and in providing a wide range of accommodation solutions for both private and public sector clients. As owner’s representative he has also been involved in a hotel privatisation, a portfolio rationalisation and the establishment of a start-up company.

A Graduate of Surrey University’s Hotel School with a Diploma in Marketing, Douglas is a Member of the British Hospitality Association. His previous hotel operational roles were with Grand Metropolitan, Inter-Continental, Gleneagles and Forte, followed by consultancy and transactional experience with Horwath & Horwath and Nomura International Plc before establishing an independent consultancy in 1998.
